I’ve been trying to come up with stylish shower renovation ideas for quite some time now. You see the old Victorian home my daughter and I live in has one bathroom and that bathroom is well, kind of ugly. Yes, I’ve seen far worse, but the circa 1937 peach and turquoise bath with black trim is not exactly my dream bath. Over the past few years, I’ve changed out the toilet and sink to white and replaced the drop ceiling, but changing out the tub and tiles would be a major disruption in our lives, so they remain. My late husband brought up the possibility of installing a shower wall system over the tile, but I didn’t find the available options attractive. So what you see above is where I left off. Livable, but not really the fresh sophisticated style I’d like.
Kohler Choreograph: A Stylish & Practical Solution for Shower Renovations
I was recently introduced to the Kohler Choreograph collection. A comprehensive shower system that enables homeowners to design the perfect shower for our needs and it can be installed right over old tiles! The installable shower walls come in many different colors, stylish textures and patterns making even accommodating a peach bathtub into a design a challenge that can be readily met. Functional attractive accessories are also available to add the finishing touches to each shower renovation. Locker storage units, shelves, seating and shower barres provide added safety and storage. This shower enclosure system is quick to install, so family life will go on with minimal disruption. The durable walls of the Choreograph collection utilize a joint system which leaves minimal seams for a finished look that conceals the silicone. The easy to clean shower walls and accompanying accessories are designed to work together, but can be used separately if you like. Not only can a custom look be achieved through mixing and matching the products from Choreograph, but the walls can also be custom cut and trimmed to best match needs.
Exploring Shower Renovation Ideas
As I explained above, I’ve been seeking shower renovation ideas that worked for my particular bathroom while maintaining the current peach colored bathtub (circa 1937, coincidentally made by Kohler). Although the bathroom is relatively small, it does have tile on all the walls, so I would want to cover it in entirety. This coverage amount makes s simple pattern and neutral colors especially appealing for me.
This dimensional subway tile in white it crisp yet interesting and the linen accent at the top coordinates nicely with the tub. This is my favorite of the shower renovation ideas I came up with.
For another look I also came up with this option with features warmer tile colors and a shower locker. Which of these design solutions do you prefer?
