Inside-out Turkey Cheeseburgers

  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella
  • 1 lb Nature's Promise ground turkey
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 egg
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 Boston lettuce leaves
  • 4 large slices tomatoes

  1. Dice mozzarella into ½-inch (or slightly smaller) cubes. In a large bowl, combine turkey, cheese, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, green onions and egg. Season with black pepper. Form into 4 burgers.
  2. Heat grill to medium hot. Grill burgers until cooked through, 8-10 min., flipping once.
  3. Briefly warm bun halves on grill. Spread the bottom of each bun with 1 tbsp mayonnaise. Top with 1 lettuce leave, 1 large slice tomato, turkey burger and top bun

Recipe Notes

Make sure to oil either the grill or the burger patties to prevent sticking, especially if you choose the lower fat Nature's Promise Turkey like I use.
