Ingredients
1-poundlean ground beef
½cuponionsdiced (white or yellow)
1cuplong-grain white riceuncooked
2cupsbeef broth
10.5-ouncecream of mushroom condensed soup
1cupcheddar cheeseshredded
½teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonground black pepper
½teaspoonpaprika
½teaspoongarlic powderor 1 clove of minced garlic
½teaspoononion powder
Optional – fresh curly parsley for garnishchopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat, about 6 minutes.
Add uncooked rice, beef broth, condensed soup, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder, and mix until combined.
Spread evenly in prepared baking dish, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 52-55 minutes or until rice is cooked.
Uncover, mix well, then top with cheese, and bake for an additional 8-9 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Top with optional parsley.
