Ingredients for the Cookies
Here is everything you need for these St. Patrick's Day green cookies.
- 1 box white cake mix (approx. 3 cups)
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil*
- 2 eggs (room temperature is best)
- ¼ teaspoon Kelly green gel food coloring
- 3 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoon powdered sugar
*swap an equal amount of melted butter if you prefer
Preparation
Let's get to making this easy recipe.
In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, oil and eggs.
Use a spatula to mix all ingredients together, until you achieve a sticky, dough-like consistency.
Add a few drops of green food coloring. Mix well until the coloring is even.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Remove the dough from refrigerator.
Roll dough into one-inch balls and coat with a thin layer of granulated sugar.
Follow by coating the cookie dough ball in powdered sugar.
Place on lined cookie sheet about 2 inches apart from each other.
Bake the crinkle cookies for 9 to 12 minutes. Cool completely on a wire cooling rack before serving. Enjoy!
