Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Bars are a wonderful marriage of two of my favorite dessert treats. A cheesecake filling is nestled between a chocolate chip cookie crust, with dollops of the cookie batter on top.
Bring these cookie dough cheesecake bars to the next potluck and see them fly off the platter. The enticing combination of cream cheese filling and chocolate chip cookies is hard to resist.

How to Make Cheesecake Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bars are quite easy to make, especially with a few visual cues... so, here you go (full recipe below).
Ingredients you will need:
Homemade Cookie Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose Flour
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ⅔ cup Butter, softened
- ½ cup Sugar
- ⅔ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 2 cup Chocolate Chips
Filling:
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- ½ cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Directions
To start, preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and line a 9x9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Also coat the liner with nonstick cooking spray.
The chocolate chip cookie dough is prepared by first whisking the flour, baking soda and salt together.
In a separate bowl, cream butter and the sugars together until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and whip together.
Then combine the mixture with the dry ingredients until well mixed, then fold in chocolate chips.
Quick Hack >> Speed prep along by using a couple packages of store bought refrigerated cookie dough rather than mixing the dough from scratch.
⅔ of the dough is pressed into a pan to form the underlying crust.
Mix together the cheesecake filling ingredients. This cream cheese mixture is then spread over the cookie crust.
The remaining chocolate chip cookie dough is broken up over the cheesecake layer.
Then it is ready to bake for approximately 40 minutes, until cream cheese has set and edges of cookie have lightly browned.

Ingredients
Crust:
- 2 cup Flour
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ⅔ cup softened Butter
- ½ cup Sugar
- ⅔ cup Brown Sugar

- 2 cup Chocolate Chips

- ½ cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line a 9x9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with nonstick spray.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt for crust.
- Cream together butter, brown sugar and sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla and whip to incorporate.
- Add flour mixture and mix until incorporated.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Press ⅔ of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form an even layer.
- Combine filling ingredients and beat until blended.
- Spread the cream cheese filling over the cookie dough layer and level.
- Crumble remaining crust dough over the cheesecake layer.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until cheesecake is set and chocolate chip cookie dough has browned.
- Allow to cool completely and chill before slicing into bars.
