This Creamy Sweet Chili Sauce and Dip is a fusion of Thai Sweet Chili Sauce with Mayonnaise, sour cream and finely chopped fresh cilantro. The flavorful taste of the creamy sauce works well with a wide array of dishes for dipping, drizzles or slathering on sandwiches.
While the mildly spicy sauce somewhat similar to Boom Boom sauce and Bang Bang sauce, this type of sauce does not include, ketchup, garlic powder, Sriracha sauce or honey. It has just four simple ingredients. The homemade sauce is great as a fry sauce, shrimp sauce or for dunking chicken tenders in.

Ingredients for the Creamy Chili Sauce
Here is everything you need to make the sauce.
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup Thai sweet chili sauce (found in the Asian food aisle of most grocers)
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro, plus additional for garnish if desired
Directions
Combine the mayo, sour cream and chili sauce small mixing bowl, add the chopped cilantro.
Mix together all ingredients until well combined.
Cover the mixing bowl and refrigerate the sauce for 1 hour.
Stir the dipping sauce well before serving.
Serving
This creamy sweet chili sauce is great as a dip for chicken nuggets, fried shrimp, French fries or even as a spread on sandwiches. It also makes a great topping for tacos, burritos and even as a salad dressing. Try it on my Tofu Lettuce Wraps, Air fryer Salmon Patties or popcorn shrimp.
Storing the Sauce
This dipping sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Ingredients
