One Pot Broccoli Chicken Alfredo Recipe with Jar Sauce
This easy Chicken Alfredo Orzo with broccoli is a one pot spin on Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo with Fettuccine. The recipe features jarred Alfredo Sauce, which makes prep a breeze. By switching to orzo pasta (shaped like rice if you are not familiar), I'm able to cook the meal all right in one skillet, and the results are creamy and somewhat reminiscent of risotto (without all the pot watching). I loathe doing dishes, so just one dirty pan, a cutting board and a couple utensils, has a lot of appeal to me. The fact that a satisfying and flavorful dinner is on the table in less than a half hour is something any busy parent has to love.

Orzo is SO yummy - it's one of my favorite alternatives to spaghetti. This looks like an easy dinner win with Ragu!

That looks delicious. We love Ragu sauce in our house too! I'm not sure I've ever had orzo. I'll have to try that!

Ohhh, now this is a new way to do a chicken alfredo! I'll have to give it a shot sometime! I always just do pasta, but I like rice. Could I do it with rice and not Orzo do you think?
Robin Gagnon says
Why not, cooking times and liquid requirement may differ slightly, but it sounds good to me.
Esther of Local Adventurer says

At first look, I thought this was a pasta meal. I haven't tried broccoli on a one pot recipe. This is my first to hear about this.
Robin Gagnon says
You were right in the first place. Orzo is pasta... it just looks like rice.
Carmy says
Looks yum! I never thought to use alfredo sauce on rice! I've only ever used it on pasta
Jenni says
Orzo is not rice. It’s pasta.
Robin Gagnon says
Did someone tell you it was rice? It is clearly referred to as a pasta throughout the article, so I'm not sure where this is coming from.

I know this is delicious because I make something similar, lol! My kids aren't huge fans of broccoli at the moment, but if I add cream and cheese to it, then they're devour it!

I love orzo for its one-pot abilities, too! I love how simple and delicious this sounds. A perfect weeknight meal!
Victoria says
Do you think you can add cheese to it. Parmesan cheese on the inside cheddar cheese on top and bake it in the oven. Do you think it’ll come out OK
Robin Gagnon says
Yes, in my book adding cheese makes everything better...lol
If you bake the already cooked pasta it shouldn't take long in the oven either.
