This homemade Guacamole Ranch Dressing is an easy recipe, which is far better for you than most bottled dressings.
A serving of this healthy salad dressing has just 45 calories and 1 net gram of carbohydrate. Thanks to the avocado in the dressing, it also has healthy monosaturated fat.
Great for salads, sandwiches or dipping.
Guacamole Ranch Dressing - Fresh and Tasty!
As the dressing has fresh tomatoes & avocado in it, you will find it a great dressing for simple salads or grilled meats, as I've shown in these images. The chicken was simply cooked with a spice rub. After these pictures, the remaining dressing was used on a burrito, as well as a dip for carrot sticks and pita chips.
This is a low carb ranch dressing too, with just 2 net carbs per serving.

How to Make Guacamole Ranch
This recipe is easy to make. Printable recipe card is below with adjustable ingredient measures by servings.
Ingredients for the Dressing
Here is all you need to make the salad dressing/dip.
- Hass avocado
- low fat buttermilk*
- dry dill
- onion powder
- Kosher salt
- mayonnaise
- fresh garlic
- fresh lime juice
- olive oil
- fresh tomato
- pickled jalapeno
- fresh cilantro
*If you can't find fresh buttermilk in your area add a tablespoon of vinegar to regular lowfat milk, or mix up a batch of my homemade dry Ranch seasoning.
Preparation
Simply add everything except the jalapeno and cilantro into a blender and pulse until smooth.
Then add the last two ingredients and pulse a couple times to chop.
Storing
Store the Guacamole Ranch Dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator, for up to 3-4 days.
Due to lack of preservatives, leftovers should be tossed after that.

I love that it's "skinny" and features a lighter version of mayo and buttermilk- I've been known to overdo it on tasty (and fattening) dressings, gah!

I eat a salad almost every afternoon, often enjoy fresh cut vegetables as a snack, and love tortilla chips while watching sports on Sundays. This dip would be so useful around our house in so many ways!

I know it's crazy, probably, but I don't care for ranch dressing, but I love guacamole. So maybe this is a way I'd like ranch dressing? 🙂
