How to Make Strawberry Fudge
Here is a visual guide to making this fudge recipe. Full printable recipe card can be found below.
Ingredients
Here is what you need to make this 6 ingredient strawberry fudge recipe.
- 2 cups sugar
- ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 bag (11 ounces) white chocolate chips
- 7 oz jar marshmallow fluff
- 1 tablespoon strawberry jello mix (provides both strawberry flavor and food coloring)
Supplies: 9x13 pan and parchment or wax paper to line it with. You may use tin foil if you have neither paper.
First, melt the butter and sugar into the cream. Boil for 5 minutes. A double boiler is ideal for this, but it can be done in a regular saucepan.
Pour the hot mixture into a large heat safe mixing bowl. Add the white chocolate and marshmallow fluff. The residual heat will melt white chocolate chips.
Mix well until chips are completely melted. The residual heat will melt white chocolate chips while stirring.
Line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper. Scoop half the white fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread out.
Mix the Strawberry gelatin into the other half of the mixture.
Pour mixture on top of the first layer and spread it out to cover. Give it a little swirl and top with sprinkles if you like. Chill until firm.
Lift the fudge out of baking dish using parchment and set out on a cutting board.
Cut into even squares 6 by 9 rows. Store fudge in an airtight container or plastic bags.
Microwave Strawberry Fudge
If you don't want to cook your fudge in a pan it can be made in a large microwave safe bowl.
Simply follow the directions above, but heat up the butter, cream and sugar in the microwave for 60 seconds then stir in your white choc chips. Zap in 15-20 second intervals until melted then fold in the the fluff. Proceed with the rest of preparation as with stove top directions.
Yes, candy melts or white almond bark will work in the recipe, but is not preferred. A good quality white chocolate will have tastier results because candy melts don't contain cocoa butter.
